火、水、風(fēng)、土、和空氣，生命五種核心元素曾經(jīng)注入在一本書--命運之書。黑暗籠罩了大地，需要借助筆和書的力量，但這本書卻失蹤了，人們以為它永遠消失了，但數(shù)百年后卻又再度出現(xiàn)……

　　故事梗概:
　　由領(lǐng)隊布魯貝克等三名宇航員駕駛的美國宇宙飛船《摩羯星一號》因質(zhì)量不好未能起飛,宇航主任凱洛威博士為騙取國會的預(yù)算,強迫宇航員參加了一場在攝影棚內(nèi)模擬飛行同時進行電視實況轉(zhuǎn)播的騙局.為了騙局不被戳穿,還決定宣布飛船降落時因事故機毀人亡,秘密殺害宇航員.宇航員沖出攝影棚后,兩人被打死.死里逃生的布魯貝克出現(xiàn)在追悼會上,揭露了事實真相.

　　Shipwreck survivors are found on Beiru Island (Infanto t?), which was previously used for atomic tests. The interior is amazingly free of radiation effects, and they believe that they were protected by a special juice that was given to them by the island's residents. A joint expedition of Rolisican and Japanese scientists explores Beiru and discovers many curious things, including two women only one foot (30 centimeters) high. Unscrupulous expedition leader Clark Nelson abducts the women and puts them in a vaudeville show. But their sweet singing contains a telepathic cry for help to Mothra, a gigantic moth that is worshiped as a deity by the island people. The giant monster heeds the call of the women and heads to Tokyo, wreaking destruction in its path.

　　The main character is Dr. Max Holst, a successful neurosurgeon. One day an intense little man named Steinmetz shows up, who has the real ability to create objects out of thin air, using only his mind. As no one believes him at first, he is held at a ward for mental patients, but manifests the key to his door and escapes. As he has a special interest in Dr. Holst, Steinmetz subsequently invites Holst to his large mansion, which is full of expensive paintings and sculptures, and proves to him that he can in fact materialise objects. Steinmetz’s abilities are evolving by leaps and bounds, and is progressing from being able to create objects only to being able to create living things. His ultimate ambition is to be able to create a human being. He tells Dr. Holst that if he will only perform a certain brain operation on him, Steinmetz will become able to attain his goal. He’s got all the necessary equipment set up in his basement. Dr. Holst, however, is too spooked by the whole thing to agree to this mad scheme, and refuses. Steinmetz then sets about manipulating Holst’s life, to pressure him into performing the operation. By then Steinmetz has become able to create a temporary human being, and in the hope that he can perhaps make his own creation perform the operation, he manifests a doppelganger of Dr. Holst. This double proceeds to take over Dr. Holst’s life, creating chaos for him professionally and personally. And then Dr. Holst starts fighting back. The ending has the dual virtue of being both unexpected and satisfying.

　　《霹靂五號》是1986年由新力影業(yè)旗下子公司——三星影業(yè)所推出的科幻喜劇片。
　　NOVA軍火公司開發(fā)了五臺戰(zhàn)爭用機器人，而其中一臺機器人“No.5”有一天突然被雷打中，而之后便產(chǎn)生了自我意識，并且開始自稱自己為“強尼五號”。它逃到了街上，卻被人類視為一大威脅，而剩下四臺機器人也在追殺它，它必須設(shè)法說服發(fā)明它的科學(xué)家“自己是一種生命，而不是戰(zhàn)爭用機器人”。在一次短路狀況下闖入了熱心保護動物的史蒂芬妮家中，并從與人交往的過程中學(xué)習(xí)到人類的智慧的人性，后來拒絕回到武器公司充當(dāng)他們的殺人工具。

　　供職于衛(wèi)生署的伊麗莎白（Brooke Adams 飾）在郊外采集到一株小型植物，她向丈夫杰弗里解釋這很可能是新發(fā)現(xiàn)的物種。與此同時，伊麗莎白的同事馬修（唐納德?薩瑟蘭 Donald Sutherland 飾）正因為一絲不茍的執(zhí)法而遭到報復(fù)。第二天，伊麗莎白驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)杰弗里行為反常，舉止木訥，伊麗莎白請求馬修的幫助，隨后他們發(fā)現(xiàn)有更多人狀態(tài)發(fā)生了變化，伊麗莎白更目擊杰弗里與一群陌生人接頭，不久，有多人死于身體變異，他們周身萌發(fā)出白色的須狀物，形同植物。馬修向政府反映當(dāng)?shù)氐纳镂C，然而只得到冷漠的回應(yīng)，人群的異化正在擴散，伊麗莎白和馬修處境孤立，但仍然試圖拯救城市……

　　少女科學(xué)家珊曼莎是地球經(jīng)歷末世浩劫后的幸存者之一。她并未隨著他人棄守家園，反而留在地球，并致力尋找讓人類生存下去的方法。
　　在最后一艘宇宙飛船開往遙遠人類太空殖民地之際，她留守的決心因為另一位幸存者麥卡的到來而動搖。她必須決定要與麥卡一起出發(fā)到人類避難之所開展新生活，還是繼續(xù)留下來保衛(wèi)地球。
